Cecily asked what we are not wanting to focus on today:
Luke Watson has most probably Tourette’s syndrome, he has to be slightly insane. Anything to get his name in the newspapers or on the radio news. Saying you want to puke on the Springbok rugby shirt does not endear you to anyone, the idea is appalling.
Just because you are a receptionist is does not mean you can sit all day on the phone to your pals.
You and I are both contracting for this company, the fact you spent most of today chatting to the receptionist does not constitute work, and if I was you I would be embarrassed to bill for the time.
The fact I do not really have a job, and I am slightly (understatement) panicked about that.
How I will have to start quilting my little heart out if I am to get my supplies ready for the next Bunny Park ‘craft market’.
How I am nervous that said quilts will not appeal to the public and not sell.
Sean and I have decided that we will buy a little car and sell it on for profit – but we have to get the money together first to purchase said car. We can possibly make up to ten thousand rand on it – split half / half will be okay.
How although I have asked, I have not been given the detail for my medical aid – and I have to pay it.
Just general stuff I do not want to focus on.
This will be edited by the weekend to protect those who may be hurt….

stuff, and stuff
Yesterday I went to massage therapy for my back and went then straight into the Chiropractor. I was absolutely wiped out by it, I even had a snooze on the couch before going through to the Linksfield hospital to see a scan of Coralie’s baby – it was awesome. He or she was squirming around and really did some great movements. It was such a joy to see. At one point a little foot was up in the air and was quite obvious. He has a lovely little face and Coralie and Henk both now have a photo of their baby. No, we do not know the sex yet. Coralie is now 11 weeks and 3 days! He has been measured and checked out and is quite gorgeous!
I pick up my new sewing machine tomorrow; I had to phone them, (typical) to find out if it had arrived. I have bought some fabric to make some mini quilts to sell at a flea market; it is tomorrow, at the Bunny Park. So I have to go there to make contact and see how much it is to take a table. That will give me a month to get organised.
Sean’s car is a dream, he is very pleased with it. He bought us pizza for supper last night, and asked if I wanted to drive it, but it was dusk, I was a bit nervous, so said no.
Coralie has a Subaru, Henk went back to test drive another Subaru, and they are selling the MG trade in for half the price that they bought it from C+H, so they went back and bought it back! Don’t ask; I cannot see the sense in it. Henk has not a working car at the moment, his Opal he drove for about 20 kms then it broke down, I said he should have taken it back and dumped it at the dealer, but he has kept it. He will fix it up and sell it on. So his reasoning for buying the MG was that with them only having one car, Coralie was using that amount of money on petrol fetching and carrying him anyway.

more waffle about my life
A very busy few moments in my life since I last typed an epistle.
In short.
Wednesday I met up with my ex’s cousin, Debby. Lots of laughter there.
On Saturday I was treated to my present of a Bernina sewing machine, it gets picked up this week – I am still so excited about that!
Sunday Mary came to visit and stayed the night. Hilarity ensued!
The kids were there, as they love Mary. Mary has told Coralie that she is to buy all the baby’s kit until he / she is 6 months old – Coralie and I were astounded! And we are so grateful.
Monday we went to Debby’s mom, Pat’s 70th birthday lunch – we had such fun. So there was Patti, Debby, Mandy, Mary and myself. Coralie and Henk joined us.
On the downside Henk was hijacked in a Volvo truck on Friday. The stupid truck had broken down, on a test drive, and ‘they’ wanted to steal it! How ridiculous!
Anyway after smacking him with a pistol and breaking his nose and him having to have stitches, Henk is once again back and forth to the hospital for scans etc.
Poor Henk, if anyone is to have stitches, it will be him.

more waffle - no cream!
I have been so busy this week, I have been working except for Wednesday and I was so busy yesterday – my lists just get longer and longer.
Sean’s car has been written off, he has bought another one, and it may be delivered today. He is very happy and photos will follow, for this I am sure he will not give me the ‘Death Eater’ stare!
I have been very lucky in that Ian has said he will buy me a Bernina Sewing machine – the 92C – any comments before he purchases it for me – are you happy with your Bernina and is there anything you would change? E.g. model?
They will give me a trade in on my old machine if I buy from the more expensive range. But I think that would be naughty of me to expect Ian to pay ten thousand rand plus for a sewing machine!
I met up with my ex’s cousin yesterday – we had such a laugh discussing the past and what her perceptions were of the situations as she was a bit younger than I and had a different view of what was going on. Debby’s sons are really lovely – her youngest at 13 is adorable!! He is so affectionate to his mom; it is very cute.
We are to meet up on Monday again as my ex-SIL, Mary is coming through to visit. Mary is very excited about Coralie being pregnant.
I cannot get into my gmail account so I cannot thank you all personally for you kind words and comments over my Pumpkins. Thank you all I am really touched at your kind sentiments.

happy dance - yay!
Yay!! I have finished my ‘Dreaded Pumpkins’!! at 13h27!!!
It is not perfect – in fact is probably the most imperfect cross stitches I have ever done – it was one of those – one stitch out here – and at the end worked out to be 3 stitches out – oh, dear. But as it is to be only used once a year at Halloween, I am not too upset!
I will be quilting it up today – and you can see it tomorrow!
I went shopping with Coralie yesterday after she left work – she has got too big for her clothes already (the same as I was when I got pregnant with her). She had to buy new bras and two pairs of trousers, and we saw some lovely tops, which she also bought. When she tried on the one pair of trousers she said she didn’t want to put back on her own pair – she must have been really uncomfortable.
The lady in the bra department asked how far she was, and when we answered about 2 months advised Coralie to buy two now, she will be back soon enough for another few pairs. If she has grown so much already, she will need more soon.
Coralie was so grateful that I went with her, it was so sweet!

I know; lost in action again!
I went to the Massage Therapist this morning – what a lovely massage, and my back really feels much better. I think I may go back again next week, Wednesday to really iron out the last few kinks. (Although I smell like a chip pan to me, and my hair – oily mess)!
I have so little to do on the ‘Dreaded Pumpkins’ that I may be finished today – yay – I will really be thrilled to finish up that – all that orange!! Then I will quilt it up to make the hanger for Halloween – this is over a year in the creation!!
I also popped into UIF (Unemployment Insurance Fund) this am, they had a system failure as I got to the counter – never mind; I have all the info of what I need to take with me, and now I know where they are situated.
I picked up my driver’s licence as well.
After that I went to the bookstore to see if they had the ‘Sign Language for Babies’. Apparently babies can learn sign language long before they can even try to speak, so the girls and I are interested in the book. I have ordered 3 copies!
Back to my stitching…….
Oops, I appear to have ANOTHER computer virus – sigh!! Avast is obviously feeling tired.

weekend news
A quick post – Coralie popped over yesterday and was talking about someone she knew who had had a brain enema – we all just stared at her. She then said ‘Oh, I mean a brain aneurysm’ – we did laugh! Some people lose their minds when they are pregnant.
Coralie brought around her baby names book and asked us to give her some of our favourtie names for babies. I think that is really thoughtful, even if she does not use them at least she is showing that she has an open mind.
I made a quick baby blanket for Coralie yesterday – cotton top and backed with fleece – that fleece shifts around – a bit more nightmarish than I ever expected! It looks great though.
My nephew in Aus has got engaged to Amber – congratulations to you both!

Friday
I went for the psychometric test today – I arrived at 9h30, the test started at ten, and went on until 15h00! I left at 15h45. We were not told how long they will take – and when we asked the HR manager she said about 4 hours – huh, she canna count!!
I am tired and pretty well ‘ finished’.
There was even Rorschach tests – I have never done those before (yes, yes, it looks like a male body part – don’t they all?)!!
I am mildly panicked that none of the things on my list have been done – fortunately Coralie and Henk have cancelled supper – Coralie is ill with morning sickness again. Poor kid!! I have a bunch of stuff to do tomorrow to catch up.
Anyway the tests showed what I thought already – I am brilliant and I have a lacking in communication skills. Plus I am handling some stress in my life really well; it is well hidden.
Gah, off to deal with my stress, which I cannot communicate!!

today....
Update, as I was at my car, ready to leave. Jan, my manager, approached me and said he was just about to open the pub. So a very pleasant 4 hours later, I left!
I have been for the interview. It was a bit odd as they advertised for a production planner / buyer, and the interview was for a buyer. The people were really sweet and as we were chatting, they admitted they had a possible position which they would have to still iron out the intricacies of. So I was even given a short tour of the area in which they need a person, and it looks pretty good. They still want me to go back on Friday to do a psychometric test, which is a good sign.
So, it looks favourable! And is closer to home by a few kms! It is actually 5kms further than Sean’s work.
30 degrees C here today!
(dad and mum, I haven't forgotten you, I scheduled a post for you, but it has not yet been published - look out for it - the time was a bit of a thumbsuck and I got it wrong)!
